The Houston Museum of Natural Science launched its first film in 1994 with the release of the blockbuster, Africa: The Serengeti. Since then the Museum has become an industry leader as an executive producer and worldwide distributor of IMAX-format films. As one of only three museum-based distributors, HMNS has released five films since 1994.
Africa: The Serengeti – 1994
Alaska: Spirit of the Wild – 1997
Amazing Journeys – 1999
Kilimanjaro: To the Roof of Africa - 2002
Australia: Land Beyond Time - 2002
All films are distributed by Charlotte Brohi, VP of IMAX Operations and Film Production. Ms. Brohi has been with the museum since 1993 when the film distribution department was first created. She has spent the last fourteen years promoting the films to museums and IMAX theatres worldwide. Prior to that she spent five years in London managing casting studios.
New Business Opportunities - As an executive producer, distributor and exhibitor, we actively seek new films and resources for funding. Please contact Charlotte Brohi at cbrohi@hmns.org if you have a film idea that might be of interest to the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
